What Do I Even Wear
Why this guide exists
Nearly all clothing advice for beginners is written by people who sell clothes, which is why it keeps arriving at a shopping list. This one was built the other way round, from surveys on gym anxiety and clothing, published research on what people actually dread about changing rooms, and the words nervous beginners use about standing at the wardrobe at eleven o'clock at night. It is not styling advice and it never mentions your shape. Every answer in it comes out of the drawer you already have, tonight, with nobody watching.
The whole guide is three moves
Pick it. Put it on under your clothes. Walk in already dressed. Everything else in here is detail supporting those three lines, and you can do all three tonight without leaving the house.
The clothes are one of the most measured parts of gym anxiety
Standing at the wardrobe is not a silly thing to be stuck on, and it is not vanity. It shows up in survey after survey as a distinct, separately measured worry, and it has its own second spike in the changing room, which most gym-anxiety writing treats as the same fear when it plainly is not.
What the research actually found

Part of The Quiet Person's Gym System
This guide answers one of the four things that keep quiet people out of the gym. The other three are getting through the door in the first place, what counts as rude in there, and what to say if somebody speaks to you.
They do not arrive one at a time. You can have tomorrow's kit decided and still be sitting in the car park, or walk in calmly and freeze the first time someone asks if you're using the machine.
All four guides together, 157 pages, plus the free bonus, for less than buying them one at a time.
Questions people ask before buying
Do I need to buy new clothes before I go?
No. Nobody here is going to tell you what suits your shape or what colours work on you, and the guide's own instruction is to buy nothing before your first visit. The one item that might cost you is shoes, and there is a check on the trainers you already own that usually settles even that.
I don't own anything that looks like gym gear. Is this still for me?
That is who it is written for. The whole approach assumes you are wearing things already in your drawer: something you can move in, something that covers what you want covered, and something dark. It does not have to be activewear and it does not have to match.
How long is it, and how do I get it?
42 pages across 9 chapters. Instant PDF download, yours to keep, readable on a phone. It is designed to be read in one evening and acted on the same night.
What if I can't get changed at home first?
Chapter five is entirely about that. Laying the whole outfit out before you undress, making a corner out of your locker door, sitting rather than standing, and going at the hour when the room is empty. The bypass is the headline move, and the days it does not work still have a plan.
