I don't know what to say
Why this guide exists
Every article about being nervous at the gym eventually arrives at "just ask, as long as you're polite and clear about what you need". Read that clause again. It is not an instruction, it is a description of an ability, handed to somebody who came looking for words. It assumes you can already do the thing, which is the same move as telling a person who is scared to walk in that they should just walk in. So this guide counted the conversations a first month can actually require, found there were about eight, and wrote out what to say in each one the way a person really says it.
You are allowed to stay exactly as quiet as you are
There is no chapter where it turns out what you really needed was to become an outgoing person. You came for words and you leave with words. Nothing about you was the problem.
Asking for help is the part people quietly go without
The advice for a nervous beginner is always to ask somebody. What that advice never accounts for is how many people find the asking itself to be the obstacle, which is a separately measured thing and a very large number. Staff are paid to be asked and regulars are mostly happy to help. Neither fact makes the sentence any easier to produce out loud.

Part of The Quiet Person's Gym System
This guide answers one of the four things that keep quiet people out of the gym. The other three are getting through the door in the first place, what to wear and where to get changed, and what counts as rude in there.
They do not arrive one at a time. Having the words ready does not help much until you have also got through the door, worked out what you are wearing, and stopped worrying that you are about to break a rule nobody wrote down.
All four guides together, 157 pages, plus the free bonus, for less than buying them one at a time.
Questions people ask before buying
Is this one of those confidence books?
No. It will not try to fix how you feel about talking to people and it does not claim you will grow to enjoy it. It is a list of exact words for specific moments, plus explicit permission to use none of them.
What if I don't want to talk to anyone at all?
That is covered as a real strategy rather than a compromise. Headphones in before the door, the instruction panel on every machine, thirty seconds of video at home the night before, and a written plan so you never have to stand still and wonder. Plenty of people go for months this way.
How long is it, and how do I get it?
40 pages across 9 chapters. Instant PDF download, yours to keep, readable on a phone. The eight sentences themselves fit on a single page you can photograph.
Do I have to learn it all off by heart?
No, and the guide tells you not to bother. Pick the three you are realistically likely to meet in your first month, read those out loud once at home, and skim the rest until the day one of them turns up.
